Manchester United will be playing Europa League football next season despite their defeat to Crystal Palace on the final day of the Premier League campaign.
A loss for United meant they needed the Hammers not to win in order to seal their place in the sixth, and three second-half goals from Brighton saw them stroll to a 3-1 win over David Moyes' men. Erik ten Hag watched on from the stands as he caught a glimpse of some of the players he'll be working with next season, and he'll be relieved to have seen his side avoid the Europa Conference League.
There were a few nerves from fans at half-time after United had fallen behind to Wilfried Zaha's goal, while Michail Antonio's opener for West Ham meant United temporarily dropped down to seventh. However, the Seagulls' fightback meant United jumped back up to sixth despite their defeat.
