A man indecently exposed himself on a train from Cardiff and police believe this person can help their investigation

A man boarded a train with friends in Wales before indecently exposing himself to a carriage full of passengers including children. British Transport Police said the man was travelling from Cardiff Central to Merthyr Tydfil before jumping on the seats of the train, taking his shirt off and later indecently exposing himself in front of passengers before leaving the train.

Officers investigating the shocking incident, which happened near Quakers Yard station in Treharris, on Monday, April 9, have released CCTV images of a man they believe may have information which could help their investigation. "On Monday, April 9, a man boarded a train from Cardiff Central to Merthyr Tydfil with a group of other men. Throughout the journey the man caused a disturbance by jumping on the seats of the train and taking his shirt off," a statement read.

Police released the images on Tuesday, May 17, of a man they want to speak to as they believe he may have information which can help their investigation (British Transport Police)

It continued: "At around 8.50pm as the train was near Quakers Yard station the man stood in the aisle of the carriage and indecently exposed himself in front of many passengers, including some children. He then got off the train and left the station. Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation."
