A man has died after falling from a cliff at Morialta Conservation Park in Adelaide's north-east.

Dozens of emergency services workers were called to the First Falls walking track in the park about 8:30am on Saturday.

The 48-year-old man from Houghton died at the scene.

The SA Ambulance Service sent in a helicopter to winch the man out of the park, which has been closed to the public.

A police spokeswoman said the man may have suffered a medical episode.

Police will be preparing a report for the Coroner.
