Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid has announced she’s taking a break from the morning talk show.
At the end of the show, on April 3, Reid announced she would be leaving for “a couple of weeks”.
"See you in a couple of weeks, I'm going to go and spend some time off,” she told viewers. “I will be back, do not fear."
Co-host Ed Balls then chimed in with: "Susanna, we'll see you in a couple of weeks' time."
There’s not yet been confirmation of who will fill in as a guest host but some likely substitutes could be other regular GMB hosts, like Ranvir Singh, Kate Garraway, or Charlotte Hawkins.
In light of the news, here’s a closer look at Susanna Reid, and her life and career so far.
Who is her partner?
Reid has had two significant partners in the public eye, being in a relationship with English BBC Sports journalist Dominic Cotton between 1998 and 2014.
Cotton regularly appeared on BBC Breakfast, BBC News 24, and Football Focus,
The pair announced their split in 2014 and Reid partnered up again four years later, entering into a one-year relationship with businessman Steve Parish, who is the co-owner and chairman of the Premier League football club Crystal Palace.
Does she have children?
In the 16 years Reid spent with Cotton, they had three sons together, born in 2002, 2004, and 2005.
The couple raised their sons in Lambeth, south London, while they were still together.
Does she still talk to Piers Morgan?
Reid previously appeared opposite Piers Morgan on earlier days of GMB, before he was asked to leave the show after storming off the ITV morning programme in March 202.
Morgan’s exit was sparked by an explosive row with Alex Beresford about Meghan Markle, after he made comments that he would later refuse to apologise for.
Morgan made a return to GMB on March 3, where he made a point of interrupting Reid before she launched into her interview with him, saying: “Hang on, are we just going to ignore the fact I haven’t been here for 1,453 days?”
He then tried to lean in for a hug, which Reid rejected, saying: “No, I don’t want a hug.”
The returning presenter tried to convince her and the pair ultimately shared an air hug and kiss, which prompted laughter from Morgan.
Morgan later replied to a fan on X, asserting that he got a hug from her later.

There’s no evidence whether Morgan and Reid have stayed in touch after parting ways professionally but, if they are, Reid is keeping it quiet.
What is her net worth and what is her ITV salary?
Susanna Reid is thought to have a net worth of £10m, thanks to her reputation as a journalist and long stint of working at the BBC.
The Daily Express reports that she earns a whopping £1.1million salary at GMB, after signing a new deal with ITV back in 2022. Her previous salary was £750,000 a year prior to then.
