The A-League competition has been sent into a spin after allegations emerged of a physical altercation between a coach and a player at Perth Glory men's squad training this week.
Officials from Professional Footballers Australia are looking into the matter, with Australian Professional Leagues boss Danny Townsend also waiting on feedback from Glory.
The PFA released a one-line statement about the alleged incident.
"The PFA has received reports of an alleged incident and is making inquiries," the statement read.
Townsend said it was too early to comment about the allegation.
"We're waiting for feedback from Perth Glory on whether there is any incident to review," Townsend told AAP.
A Perth Glory spokesperson said the club would release a statement shortly.
Glory currently sit in ninth spot, just four points adrift of sixth-placed Sydney.
Perth will be back in action on Saturday night when they take on the Brisbane Roar at Kayo Stadium.
