Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown has been enjoying a historic season in 2023, but it seems that he still has some work to do if he wants to become his own nephew’s favorite player.
The 26-year-old took to X on Monday and revealed that he wasn’t his nephew’s favorite NFL player, having learned that Vikings superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson currently occupied that throne.
In response to the comical news from his nephew, Brown joked that he better hope Jefferson is willing to do some holiday shopping on his behalf, because the wide receiver no longer intends to get his nephew anything for Christmas.
“My nephew favorite player Justin Jefferson. lol It be your own family. We going to see if Jet get him something for Christmas because I’m not lol,” wrote Brown on X.

Brown has been dominant this season, ranking third in the NFL with 70 receptions and second in the league with 1,005 receiving yards, as well as six touchdowns.
Despite his big performances on a weekly basis, he still hasn’t won over his own nephew, who is seemingly an unwavering, die-hard Jefferson fan.
Philadelphia and Minnesota squared off in Week 2, a game which the Eagles won 34–28. Jefferson had 11 catches for 159 yards in the game, while Brown was limited to four grabs and 29 yards.
