We already knew A.J. Brown was one of the NFL’s best playmakers (who really loves Jalen Hurts). And after giving away all of the Tennessee Titans’ signals, we knew he had the capacity to be petty on a quest for vengeance, too.
But the Philadelphia Eagles star might also be one of pro football’s most “online” receivers.
Late Sunday night, Brown had a rather interesting tweet about “the enemy” and how they can be two-faced. As some in the football community would recognize, it was actually Brown quoting a word-for-word fake quote from an iconic NFL meme by writer Denny Carter about the ways different positions communicate over social media:
“the enemy speaks kindly & holds a knife”

Obviously @CDCarter13 has to retire now. Nowhere to go but down. pic.twitter.com/5C9fRqAMts

That is just pure gold. We can’t confirm it for certain, but it sure seems like Brown randomly took that fake quote about the cryptic/weirdly hostile ways receivers post and put it on his own profile.
The irony in all of this? Brown has apparently blocked Carter (for undisclosed reasons) on Twitter:
tell aj brown to unblock me

Beware of “the enemy”… whatever that means.
