A.J. Brown confirmed the ‘No Fun League’ made him change out his bright cleats during Monday Night Football

The NFL’s occasionally bizarre rulebook has struck again.

During the Philadelphia Eagles’ Monday Night Football victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it looked like Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown had to change out his cleats in the game from ones with a highlighter-yellow to ones with a more neutral color.

Well, Brown confirmed on Wednesday that the NFL made him change his game cleats by saying the “No Fun League strikes again!”

There are league rules about what color NFL cleats can be on game day, and it looks like Brown’s bright-colored cleats did not fall into that category for some reason.

Look, the NFL has had stupid rules for years, and Brown’s fun cleats are just another reminder that the “No Fun League” moniker is more than earned.

Hopefully, Brown will get to wear some fun cleats more regularly one day if the NFL can adapt its silly rules for game shoes into more reasonable guidelines for what players can wear.
