Some of your favourite brands will be sure to release a beauty advent calendar this year, including PrettyLittleThing, River Island, Cult Beauty and Lush. Jo Malone have opened the waiting list for their advent calendar already, while Elemis’ is already on sale.

What’s more is that one in 10 advent calendars discreetly conceal a surprise £50 Harvey Nichols gift card to prolong the festivities. The calendar will be available for HN Reward members on October 5 and 6, before going on general sale October 7.

As a former Boots employee I can confirm that year-in, year-out the No7 advent calendar sells out at lightning speed, so you’ll have to act fast if you want to get your hands on it. The waiting list - which will see shoppers in their thousands signed up to receive the latest news - is already open, so be sure to join it to be in with a chance of securing one.
This year, Boots promise to be ‘bigger than ever before’ with not one, but two No7 beauty advent calendars with new packaging, new designs, full-sized products and for the first time ever, limited edition cosmetics.
One calendar is priced at under £50 for ‘25 days of No7 favourites’, containing £211 with of products, while the Ultimate Calendar is filled with 23 full-sized products, worth £433, but costing only £140.

Meanwhile, the ASOS Grooming 12 Day Advent Calendar is packed with 12 key skin, hair, and self-care heroes and comes priced at £40 for goodies said to be worth over £120 - a saving of 67 per cent.

Spoiler: Snow Fairy fans need not worry, the iconic Christmas staple is back for 2022.
Among the 25 vegan products there will be two retro products from Lush Christmas past and two products that are exclusively available in the Lush Advent Calendar. The reusable gift box is made from recycled paper board and the ribbon is made from recycled plastic bottles.
While we aren’t certain of the exact value of the box, the contents work out at around £7 each, which is slightly more than most bath bombs - but a lot less than some of the other body products included.
