Next month, Manchester students will be able to get their hands on free Nando’s when the peri-peri-style chicken specialists roll-out their new ‘mood menu’. They’re bringing the new experience to the campuses of three UK universities and giving students a chance to bag a free Nando's by learning about the aura they give off.
Arriving in Manchester next week, willing participants will be invited into Nando’s #PlaceYourAura pop-up booth. Here, they will be asked a series of questions to determine which aura colours define them - with each representing a personalised Nando’s menu item.
After placing their aura, students will receive a printed polaroid via the booth, depicting themselves surrounded by the colours that best represent their aura. Stay with me - after this they can then head to a Nando's food truck and claim their very personal mood meal for free.
By design, there’s a meal for every type of aura. So, whether you present as passionate and ambitious ‘fiery red’ or more peaceful and chilled ‘calming green’, there will be something for everyone who pops down to have their aura tested.
If you’re not so hungry post aura test, you can hold onto your polaroid and show it in your local Nando's restaurant up to 48 hours from the start of the event. That way, you still get yourself a free Quarter Chicken or side.
For students who don’t live nearby or who are perhaps studying remotely, the booth experience will also be accessible online via the Nando’s Yard Website. So, to answer your question, yes, you can still discover your auras at home.
If you post your aura picture on Twitter (because did you even get a free Nando's if you didn’t post it on social media?), using the #PlaceYourAura, you will automatically be entered into a competition to win a £100 Nando’s voucher. Students can complete the aura quiz here to enter into the draw.
Nando's pop-up booths will be available on-campus at the University of Manchester on Tuesday, May 3 and over at The University of Liverpool the next day. It will also run in Nottingham and Monday, May 9 and online from May 3-9.
