After falling to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon, the Miami Dolphins are remaining on the West Coast for a Week 14 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium.
While a win would certainly be beneficial to Miami for obvious reasons, they will have another fan base backing them this weekend in the Kansas City Chiefs’ faithful.
A victory for the Dolphins, along with the same result for Kansas City against the Denver Broncos, would cement the Chiefs as AFC West champions for the seventh year in a row. Those results could also allow Andy Reid’s team to jump back up to the first seed in the playoff picture if the Buffalo Bills fall to the New York Jets for the second time this season.
This is not the first time that Chiefs fans have kept a keen eye on the Dolphins on their way to the postseason. During the 2019 season, Miami helped Kansas City clinch the second seed and a first-round bye en route to a Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers, who had Mike McDaniel on staff.
Fans of both teams will be supporting Miami in Inglewood, California this weekend for a Sunday night matchup that’ll surely provide entertainment for everyone.
