A dining dilemma at Netflix's pop-up Hunger Restaurant

It's hard not to get hungry after watching Hunger, Netflix's first original Thai film of 2023, regardless of how you feel about it afterwards. Luckily, Netflix sets up a pop-up Hunger Restaurant at CentralWorld's Groove, serving out two dishes out of the film to satisfy your cravings.

Expect a dining experience, unlike any other restaurant. Your dining dilemma is divided into two concepts under one roof, complete with a cool half-and-half interior design that will leave you in awe. Diners can choose to go to the black side for a fine dining experience or keep it casual with the white side for humble street food.

Le Pleurnichard, the French adaptation Phad ngor-ngae or whiney stir-fried noodle, is the offering on the fine dining side and it is a true work of art. The kitchen team has pulled out all the stops with their culinary techniques and an impressive flaming tableside presentation. I won't be giving any secrets away. On the other side, they served up Phad ngor-ngae, the signature dish from the the protagonist Aoy's (Chutimon “Aokbab” Chuengcharoensukying) family stir-fried noodle restaurant.

After your meal, brace yourself for a thought-provoking message from the chef, who will also reveal the secret of both dishes, leaving you with a jaw-dropping surprise. No spoilers here!

Running until April 23, Hunger's pop-up restaurant is open from 11am-9pm. For an immersive dining experience, reservations can be made by calling 082-241-6618, messaging Line@HungerRestaurant or simply walking in. Find out more about the film via bit.ly/3mlnl3w.
