When Angel Reese was winning a national championship and piling up accolades while playing for LSU, she began to refer to herself as the “Bayou Barbie.”
The Maryland native has also been called the “Baltimore Barbie.”
Nicknames aside, it’s clear that Reese – the owner of the WNBA’s record for consecutive games played with a double-double – has an affinity for the iconic toy doll created by Mattel.
And so, when a Chicago Sky season-ticket-holder gifted Reese with a custom-made Barbie in her likeness on Saturday, the rookie all-star predictably loved it. Hopefully for Reese, it softened the blow of not only losing to the New York Liberty, but also seeing her double-double streak snapped.

Apparently a season ticket holder made this Angel Reese Barbie.

Just over halfway into her first professional season, Reese has more than proven that she belongs in the WNBA and has shown that she continues to be a fan favorite.
