An affluent area in the heart of Cardiff has been included in The Telegraph's list of the 15 coolest neighbourhoods which details the places you must visit and the restaurants you need to try.
Pontcanna made it to twelfth on the list, which includes places like Walthamstow in London, the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham and Finnieston in Glasgow and shares how you can 'live like a local', uncovering the hidden gems these towns and suburbs have to offer.
Nominated by locals who live in these areas, the best places to eat, drink, shop and sleep are unveiled and included are some gorgeous numbers.

Pontcanna can be found a short distance from the centre of the city is filled with gorgeous period houses, artisanal eateries and is surrounded by large green spaces.
The Telegraph's David Atkinson writes of this quaint part of Cardiff: "The Welsh capital packs heritage attractions and sporting heroes into the compact city centre. But the smart set heads for Pontcanna. The leafy, northwestern suburb is, along with neighbouring Canton, home to green spaces, hipster hangouts and cool cafés.
"Crucially, it feels properly Welsh, and the locals outnumber day-trippers. Better still, it’s just a 20-minute stroll into the city centre via Bute Park and the grounds of Cardiff Castle, part Norman fortress, part Victorian folly, following the river Taff."
He then goes on to recommend the best places to get some nosh - and we couldn't agree more with him.
He writes: "Head to Milkwood (milkwoodcardiff.com) for brunch, or to Brod (thedanishbakery.co.uk) for bread, pastries and coffee with a Copenhagen-style twist. Alternatively, Corporation Yard (thecorporationyard.co.uk) is an old neighbourhood pub transformed into a happening venue for pop-up street food vendors.
"Nearby Pipes (pipesbeer.co.uk) opens at weekends for gluten-free craft ale served in a courtyard, plus brewery tap events. Enjoy drinks to a soundtrack of Cardiff’s very own Mercury Prize nominee, Gwenno.
"Pontcanna is also the perennial hotspot for the latest in Welsh culinary innovation. Heaneys (heaneyscardiff.co.uk) is famed for its fish, or feast on wine and oysters at adjoining sister restaurant, Uisce. Thomas (thomas-pontcanna.co.uk), the domain of Pembrokeshire-raised chef Tom Simmons, meanwhile, blends French and Welsh influences for a true taste of the cosmopolitan Cardiff suburbs."
