A round-up of what the national media are reporting after Leeds United's 1-1 draw against Leicester City at Elland Road.
'Resilient performance'
Louise Taylor of The Guardian wrote: "As the final whistle blew Jamie Vardy could not stop smiling but Patrick Bamford looked consumed by mental anguish.
"Leicester’s former England striker had stepped off the substitutes’ bench to score a potentially season‑changing equaliser before Leeds’s centre‑forward missed a late, albeit potentially offside, sitter and decidedly mixed emotions swirled in the cool West Yorkshire air.
"Some home fans called for the head of Victor Orta, Leeds’s director of football, but frustration was mixed with pride at the end of an evening in which Javi Gracia’s side had taken the lead through Luis Sinisterra as they arrested a dramatic recent slump.
"Leeds are now two points and two places above the bottom three and their hopes of avoiding relegation seem touch and go but they could at least reflect on a resilient performance which prevented Leicester from making their technical superiority count."
'Two out-of-form teams'
Shamoon Hafez wrote on BBC Sport: "This was a contest between two out-of-form teams who are scrapping to preserve their top-flight status and both sides left Elland Road having to be content with a point.
"Roared on by raucous home crowd, Leeds outmuscled their opponents for much of the game by snapping into tackles and their aggression was evident with four players picking up bookings.
"Sinisterra put them in front with a well-taken header but they failed to push forward in the second period and were punished by Vardy.
"The result ended a sequence of three consecutive defeats for Leeds, but Javi Gracia's men missed out on going four points clear of the drop zone.
"Leeds went in search of the winner in injury time and came agonisingly close but Marc Roca's flicked header was superbly kept out by an acrobatic save from Daniel Iversen, before Bamford's glaring miss."
'A better point for Leicester'
ESPN wrote: "There was a nervous energy around Elland Road after three successive defeats, but there was an explosion of relief when a superb move down the right saw Jack Harrison deliver a superb curling cross that Sinisterra headed down and into the net.
"Javi Gracia's Leeds seemed content to try to hang on to their slender advantage in the second half and, with Maddison pulling the strings, Leicester took charge.
"Meslier twice denied Kelechi Iheanacho, who went off injured, before Vardy's crucial contribution.
"It was arguably a better point for Leicester who should have a smoother run-in than a Leeds side that still have to play Manchester City and Newcastle in their last five games."
