A 90s and noughties throwback music festival is coming to the Valleys

If you are into 90s and noughties dance and trance era, then brace yourself as The Big Valleys Throwback Festival is coming to Ebbw Vale. The brand new event will take place at Ebbw Vale Sports Centre on Saturday, April 22 and is set to feature anthems from the biggest names from the naughties.

With a line up including Cascada and classics like 'Every time We Touch', 'Evacuate the Dance Floor', 'Because the Night' and more, the weekend will be filled with throwbacks and massive anthems from the likes of DJ Andy Whitby, Sweet Female Attitude with their hit 'Flowers' and 'Castle in the Sky' artist Ian Van Dahl.

The one-day event will also feature a dance anthems set by Dave Pearce, who previously presented Dance Anthems on BBC Radio 1 for ten years. Other acts include N-Trance, Big Al and Racy. As well as big 90s and noughties artists, the festival will highlight local talent, such as Cwmbran's Joey G.

The dance party event is organised by Coal Dust Events and Proper Nights Out, who have put together some of the biggest live music concerts in the Valleys, and hosted by MC Shocker. Festival goers can expect a night of electronic music, with bars and street food stalls on sight. Throughout the festival, there will also be spot prizes to be won.

The Big Valleys Throwback Festival is not the only time celebrities will visit the Valleys. You can see comedian Tom Allen on stage rather than on screen at the Park and Dare in Treorchy on Thursday, February 23. For those nearer Neath and Porthcawl, Marti Pellow, who is best known for his popstar career, has a new two-hour show in May which takes the audience through a series of music and stories as he shares his life journey. Sara Millican's 2023 tour, 'Late Bloomer,' will also be at the Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl, on Friday, October 20 and other spots across Wales. Find out more here.
