90s indie-rock legends Primal Scream have announced a gig at Dublin's Fairview Park on June 22, 2022.
The news comes as the band gears up to play their first headline shows since 2019.
The Screamadelica Live tour will feature the band's biggest hits from the 80s, 90s and more from albums like Give Out But Don’t Give U and XTRMNTR.
The tour sees the band celebrate 30 years since the release of the smash hit album of the same name.
The band released two new versions of the iconic record in 2021.
There was the 10-disc 12” Singles Box which compiled nine replicas of the singles from the original album campaign as well as Andrew Weatherall’s recently unveiled Shine Like Stars remix, all pressed on 180-gram heavyweight vinyl.
Following that was the previously unreleased Demodelica collection which gave fans a new insight into the album's creation, with a number of early demos and work-in-progress mixes.
Primal Scream front man Bobby Gillespie released his autobiography Tenement Kid last year which detailed the Glaswegian's rise to fame from his working class roots.
Tickets for Primal Scream at Fairview Park on June 22, 2022 go on sale this Friday, January 21 at 10am on Ticketmaster.ie and cost €49.90 including booking fee.
Other shows that have been announced for Fairview Park include St Vincent on June 26, Foals on June 27 and Olivia Rodrigo on June 30.
