These days, you can send a bouquet of flowers to a lucky recipient with just a few taps on your smartphone.

What's more, some flower delivery services, such as floral giants like Interflora, even offer international deliveries.

So, it doesn't matter how far away your loved ones are, flowers are the perfect way to send a thoughtful gift from you straight to their letterbox.

Your basic bouquet will cost anywhere from £20, with luxury arrangements costing up to £200 for the finest selection on some sites.

You can also pay for same day and next day deliveries with brands, although you can expect this to cost a little bit more.

The good news is, most service let you add on extras including cards, sweet treats and bottles of booze that will really make them smile.

On first impressions, the website although very clean in design, offers quite a lot of choice; but it's all organised into sections to to make navigating your way simple. Bouquets start at between £30 - £40.

The main attraction of Interflora is the amount of delivery options on offer. With an impressive network of over 1000 florists available to deliver flowers to addresses in the UK and internationally to 146 countries, so everyone gets a bloom.

If you order before 6pm you'll qualify for next-day delivery and if you need them urgently, a same-day delivery option is available before 3pm. Good news for frequent flower-senders, there's two delivery pass schemes on offer too: Gold and Platinum, costing £12 and £22 respectively and offering unlimited next-day delivery for a year or unlimited delivery across all options for a year.

Place your order before 3pm Monday to Friday for same day flowers to delivered to almost anywhere across the UK. There's also a dedicated Saturday Delivery range, which you can order from on a Saturday before 11am for delivery on Saturday.

For those who don't wish to pay the hefty prices of some of the gift hampers available, there's a dedicated £20 - £40 range full of beautiful options too.

At the moment you can only get same-day delivery if you're in London and order before 4pm Monday to Friday, ah city perks.. Next day delivery is an option across the UK when ordered before 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
