If you’re looking for a pet pooch and are happy to rehome a dog desperate for a ‘furever’ home, we have found some stunning doggies who just want the love, care and attention they so deserve.
If you live in and around Newcastle and the North East, the likes of Koda and Marshall are waiting for you.
They are currently living in Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter, but are not feeling very settled and would love to find a new home to play fetch, have cuddles and live a happy life with owners who love them.

The shelter was established in 1896 and helps thousands of lost, unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned animals every year. Their objective is the promotion of kindness and prevention of cruelty to animals.
They reunite lost animals with their owners and find loving new homes for those no longer wanted and cover the whole of the North East from their two shelters within Newcastle, Claremont Road and Benton North Farm.
Are you ready for some seriously cute faces?
Let’s meet those four-legged furry friends who could be your perfect pooch.
1. KODA
This gorgeous power house is approximately four years old and needs an adult-only home with no other animals.
He’s described as a “people loving power house” and thrives on attention and he’s not ashamed to shout and cry to get it.
He is a super friendly, bouncy boy and loves humans almost as much as he loves to play with his tennis ball.
Koda is a powerful dog and does need an owner with lots of experience of large breed dogs, as well as someone with experience of behavioural problems.
He needs a home able to cope with his strength and an understanding that he needs continued commitment to training.
