The country registered 21 more Covid-19 fatalities and 9,172 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Thursday morning.
There were 8,950 local cases and 222 imported ones.
On Wednesday, 7,832 Covid-19 patients left hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.
Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 2,465,723 Covid-19 cases, including 242,288 cases this year, with 2,359,082 complete recoveries to date.
The death toll stood at 22,228 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 530 so far this year.
