NEW DELHI: Eight people were injured in different incidents of house collapses across the city after the heavy rain and storm on Monday morning. According to Delhi Fire Service (DFS), these incidents took place in different parts of the city, including Jawalpuri, Gokalpuri, Shankar Road and Moti Nagar.
At around 5.45 am, the first such incident was reported from west Delhi’s Jwalapuri. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the three injured people were taken to a hospital for treatment. At around 6.30 am, DFS received another call regarding house collapse from northeast Delhi’s Gokalpuri. No one was found injured.
Three people were injured in another house collapse incident in west Delhi’s Moti Nagar. The fire department received a call around 6.30 am regarding the incident and two fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
Another such incident took place in central Delhi’s Shankar Road area. DFS director Atul Garg said three fire tenders were sent to the spot. “Two people received injuries and they were shifted to a hospital for treatment,” he stated.
