Mother's Day is nudging closer and there's nothing lovelier when you have little ones than a homemade card and breakfast in bed even if the tea has been spilt and the toast is burnt. Mums with grown-up sons and daughters like to be spoilt with a family dinner, flowers and spending precious time with their off-spring.

The day to say thank you to mums everywhere is Sunday, March 19. Visit Nottinghamshire, the official tourism board for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, has picked out the top things to do with mum this March.

"There are some amazing things to do throughout Nottingham and Nottinghamshire this Mother’s Day and we’re encouraging both visitors and residents to visit our local businesses and spend some quality time with their mums," said Kinga Kapias, marketing and communications manager at Visit Nottinghamshire. "Whether you want to treat your mum to a special day out or just spend some quality time together, there's something for everyone in our amazing city and county."

Enjoy a Debbie Bryan Crafternoon

For the mum who loves arts and crafts there are a number of Crafternoons at Debbie Bryan’s Lace Market Studio. With candle making, felt brooch crafting, afternoon teas and breakfast scones aplenty, a visit to Debbie Bryan is a great way to spend some time on Mother’s Day weekend.
