The active COVID-19 caseload in Thiruvananthapuram district went up slightly to 490 when 79 fresh cases were reported on Tuesday. As many as 39 people recovered from the disease during the last 24 hours.
No deaths were attributed to the disease on the day. A total of 23 infected people currently underwent treatment in various hospitals. As many as 874 people are undergoing quarantine in the district, according to official statistics.
