70-year-old shares how she looks 'in her 40s' by using ice to pull skin upwards

We'll all have to deal with ageing eventually, but many will want to ward off the wrinkles, crow's feet and blotchy skin that comes with it for as long as possible.

The importance of skincare routine is highlighted regularly, particularly for men, as we start to get older.

Many wash their face before and after sleeping, others swear by specific types of moisturiser or face cream.

But one pensioner has opted for something a bit different over the years to keep herself fresh-faced - ice.

Lifestyle vlogger and influencer Jessi Malay asked her 70-year-old mother Mary Ann how she managed to stay so fresh-faced.

She explained: "She has never had one injection, never had filler, this is all natural."

Jessi's mum makes sure to practice one key habit before going to bed every night - washing her face.

She stressed the importance of taking off your makeup and having a "clean face".

In the morning, after cleansing again, she uses the power of the cold to take years off her skin's age.

Her top tip is to dip a face cloth in some really cold water - "sometimes you could put a few ice cubes in there" - wring the cloth and place it on your face.

The age-defying beauty leaves this cold face cloth on for about 30 seconds before removing it, and stated that it "pulls the skin up".

However, rather than putting ice directly onto the face, wrapping it in clingfilm may be a safer bet to avoid freezer burn.

As for products, Jessi's mum swears by Clinique Smart Clinical™ MD Multi-Dimensional Age Transformer Duo, retailed at £66 for a 50ml tub.

It includes two moisturisers, one for the small indentations in the skin and one for the bottom part of the face to "minimise jowls".
