A 7-year-old girl was hospitalized on Saturday after being shot at a Baltimore shopping mall. The incident occurred at Mondawmin Mall in the afternoon. Baltimore police reported that two groups at the mall were involved in an altercation, leading to an unidentified male firing a shot while fleeing, which unfortunately struck the young girl in the upper body.
The girl, who was accompanied by her mother at the mall, was not the intended target of the shooting, as per officials. She sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Fortunately, her condition was later reported as stable on Saturday evening. Authorities initiated a search for the suspect and continued their efforts on Sunday.
This unfortunate event follows a previous shooting incident at the same mall in December. During that incident, a man delivering packages at the mall's parking lot was shot in the ankle. The man was caught between two groups of boys who were engaged in gunfire with each other at the time.
