As Rangers fight on three fronts this season, their squad depth is being pushed to the limit.
But it's sometimes easy to forget that Gio van Bronckhorst's men also have a host of fringe players starring elsewhere.
Whether they're scrapping it out in Scotland's lower leagues, England or abroad - they're out there fighting every week hoping to catch the eye of Rangers' coaching team.
With just over two months until the season draws to a close, it's nearly decision time regarding the future of Ibrox's forgotten stars.
It's expected that there will be a turnaround in the footballing department this summer - with Connor Goldson and Borna Barisic who could head out to pastures new.
This could be just the chance Rangers' loanees have been waiting for to finally cement their place in the side.

Nikola Katic (HNK Hajduk Split)
The defender knows what it takes to be successful at Ibrox. He had turned out 37 times for Rangers - and scored the winning goal in an Old Firm derby - before being farmed out to Hajduk Split last summer. Since the loan move back to his motherland, the 25-year-old has made 21 appearances and bagged one goal. With Filip Helander, Connor Goldson and Leon Balogun ahead of him in the pecking order, minutes at Rangers were always going to be hard to come by.
But Goldson could be headed for the exit door with his contract status in limbo. Katic's condealtract runs until 2023 and it'll be interesting to see how van Bronckhorst assesses his situation.
Prediction: Offered a new one-year contract and chance for playing time
Glenn Middleton (St Johnstone)
It feels like the talented winger has been on the books at Rangers for an eternity, doesn't it? Aside from his two spells in Perth, he has also enjoyed loan stints at Hibs and Bradford. The 22-year-old was an integral part of St Johnstone's historic double-winning run-in but hasn't made the same impact this term - scoring just two goals in 28 appearances. Middleton's Rangers deal doesn't run out until 2023 but it's hard to see how he forces his way in ahead of Joe Aribo or Ryan Kent. Unless there is a mass Ibrox exodus this summer, he could have played his last game in front of the Rangers fans.

Jake Hastie (Linfield)
The winger was billed as Scottish football's next big thing when he burst onto the scene at Motherwell alongside David Turnbull. But while Turnbull has gone on to cement himself at Parkhead and star for Scotland, Hastie is currently on his fourth loan move. It feels like Rangers have tried every trick in the book - sending him back to the club he made his name, hoping former Gers man Ian McCall could reignite him at Partick Thistle and a move away from the spotlight to Northern Ireland. His limited experiences playing in front of the Ibrox crowd have been less than impressive and the 24-year-old's deal runs out in 2023
Prediction: Loaned out again
Ben Williamson (Raith Rovers)
The young midfielder is out of contract this summer and it's hard to see how he can force his way into van Bronckhorst's plans for next season. Williamson has been on loan at Raith Rovers since January, having previously spent some time at Livingston. The 20-year-old has been in good form for John McGlynn's men and also plays for Scotland's Under-21s. He has a bright future in the Scottish game but it's unlikely his development will continue at Murray Park.

Stephen Kelly (Salford City)
After his dazzling form for Ross County in last season's relegation firefight, many expected Kelly to challenge for a spot at Rangers. Staggies boss John Hughes backed him to have a massive career and time is far from running out for the 21-year-old, whose contract expires in the summer of 2023. Kelly did make an appearance in Rangers' Europa League qualifiers but the arrival of John Lundstram, coupled with other extensive midfield competition, meant a loan move was the best option. Kelly has turned heads at Salford City, making 14 appearances and scoring a stunning goal against Scunthorpe.
Prediction: One-year extension until 2024 and a shot at the first team
Andy Firth (Partick Thistle)
As Allan McGregor's time at the top continues, you've got to feel sorry for any young goalkeeper trying to make their name. Steven Gerrard brought the Englishman to Rangers having worked with him at Liverpool's youth academy. The former Barrow star has comfortably fulfilled his duties as No.3 behind McGregor and Jon McLaughlin. In February, he was loaned out to Firhill to provide competition for Jamie Sneddon but he hasn't made an appearance for the Championship side. With his Ibrox deal ending this summer, it seems like the time is right for Firth to leave in search of stable playing time.

Kieran Wright (Dumbarton)
The Scotland Under-21 international has always been regarded as a hot-prospect at Rangers. His current stint at League One Dumbarton is the latest in a long line of loan moves though. He has also been farmed out to five other sides including Albion Rovers, Alloa and Gala Fairydean Rovers. His contract runs until 2023, Wright doesn't look like he'll be fighting it out for the Ibrox gloves any time soon.
