Meat Loaf — born Marvin Lee Aday — the singer who gave us an all-time incredible album in Bat Out of Hell and other hits, died at 74 years old.
We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man,” read a statement on the singer’s Facebook page. “We thank you for your understanding of our need for privacy at this time. From his heart to your souls…don’t ever stop rocking!”
He also acted, starring in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Fight Club, Wayne’s World and other flicks, but it’s the songs we’ll all remember and keep on playing.
