7 Eagles who impressed during the second week of training camp

The Eagles are set to begin week three of practice, which means the official end to training camp and the start of three weeks of preseason game action.

Philadelphia returned to practice on Tuesday to begin preparation for Saturday’s matchup against the Ravens in Baltimore.

The Birds are coming off an outstanding showing during the open practice, and they’ll spend the next two days developing a depth chart for Saturday night.

With Tuesday’s workout now complete, here are seven Eagles who impressed during Week 2 of camp.

The sixth-round pick out of Stanford has clearly outplayed Ian Book thus far and we’ll look to secure the third-quarterback spot with a strong preseason debut.

K'Von Wallace

Wallace has emerged as a potential starter entering a contract year.

Continued improvement could put Wallace in position to land a contract extension as the safety opposite Blankenship.

Mekhi Garner

A big-hitting defensive back who could flourish in the STAR or safety position, Garner has been making waves with his physicality and strong play.

Blankenship has improved leaps and bounds since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2022, and he’s the one safety who has taken every first-team snap.

Joseph Ngata

Ngata is the one non-veteran receiver who has impressed the most this summer.

Ngata catches everything in practice, and his size creates mismatches that could allow the former Clemson star to carve out a role in the red zone.

Jalen Carter

The game-wrecking rookie has improved on a daily basis and has started to log some first team reps.

Carter has put his elite power and athleticism on display for Eagles veterans early-on.

A.J. Brown

Brown is an All-Pro and has taken his game to another level after logging 1,496 receiving yards in 2022.

Jack Stoll

The backup tight end in 2022, Stoll has had a solid camp and has flourished as a run-blocker, while improving as a pass catcher.

Kenneth Gainwell

D’Andre Swift may be the big name and he’ll get all the early reps, but at the end of games and crucial situations, it’ll be Gainwell as the security blanket for quarterback Jalen Hurts.
