The Leeds half term school holidays are here and lots of parents will likely be scrambling around to find things to do with their little ones.
We know there’s a lot of pressure to ensure your children have a fun few days during their time off. So, we are hopefully providing a helping hand with some ideas of things to do with the kids during the February half term in Leeds.
We’ve got lots of fun activities happening in the city and here’s our tips on some of the very best. It includes attractions and events happening in Leeds city centre as well as things a little further out.

Valentine’s Fair
Leeds city centre
Celebrating three decades, the popular event will take over Millennium Square, Victoria Gardens and Cookridge Street from Friday, February 10 until Sunday February 19.
A huge selection of rides, attractions and games will be available for families to enjoy. Highlights include spinning ride The Superstar, the 40m-high Booster Ride, huge swinging pendulum The Devil Rock, family favourite the dodgems, and the Leeds Wheel of Light.
There will also be food stalls on site serving traditional favourites including hot dogs, churros, donuts and candy floss as well as coffees and hot chocolate.

Pirate Bonnie
The Carriageworks, Millennium Square, Leeds, LS2 3AD
If you fancy taking your little ones to some live theatre then Pirate Bonnie could well be the show for you. Suitable for children four and above, the production is happening on Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12.
Pirate Bonnie is looking for treasure – but no ordinary treasure, for she is no ordinary pirate. The treasures she seeks are stories, the long-lost stories of swashbuckling pirates. The audience will be greeted by Bonnie and invited on board her ship to join the crew, set sail and discover treasures.

February Family Adventures
Leeds City Museum, Millennium Square, Leeds, LS2 8BH
Running from Saturday, February 11 until Sunday, February 19, the week’s half-term crafts will be inspired by the map itself. There will be lots of activity options for all the family to get involved in.

Love Birds Week
Kirkstall Abbey, Abbey Road, Kirkstall, Leeds, LS5 3EH
Search for feathered friends among the ruins and see if you can spot the hidden British birds. On Tuesday, February 14 Wise Owl Birds of Prey Rescue will be in the cloister with some of their amazing animals.
This will be happening between 10am and 3.30pm.You will be able to handle the birds and take photographs with them in return for a donation.

Printing Workshop
Leeds Industrial Museum, Canal Road, Armley, Leeds, LS12 2QF
Learn printing techniques during February half term and take home your own creation inspired by Leeds Industrial Museum. While you are at the attraction, you can see some of the venue’s displays and exhibits.
The printing workshop session is included as part of the museum admission.

Harewood House

Of course, families can explore the adventure playground and wander through the woodlands but there’s also some half term events lined up. Adventure Babies sessions will be running alongside Harewood Art Club. The latter is happening on Sunday, February 19.

White Rose Centre crafts
Dewsbury Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS11 8LU
Free craft events will be running in the White Rose Shopping Centre’s central atrium. Supplies come courtesy of The Works with little ones being able to create a selection of Spring-themed animals and outdoor scenes. This will be running between Monday, February 13 and Friday, February 17.
