A 60-year-old woman was robbed of her phone and bank cards after a mugger threatened that he had a knife. The victim described afterwards how she was, "absolutely petrified" and how she froze during the robbery.
Nottingham Crown Court heard on Wednesday, May 18, she could not move and was scared if the robber, who turned out to be a criminal called Nathan Gordon, would hurt her if he did not get what he wanted.
"My phone was stolen," her statement read. "I was so scared. I wanted help as soon as possible. I was really shaken up. I was physically shaking and terrified this would happen again".
The robbery happened in Hyson Green at around 7am on Tuesday 23 November 2021.
