It is a Wednesday and now less than two weeks away from the start of training camp. We are a day closer to the start of the NFL season. The Arizona Cardinals will open the season on the road against the Buffalo Bills on September 8, which is in 60 days from today.
The current No. 60 on the roster is offensive lineman Keith Ismael, who is in his second year with the team. He was claimed off waivers before the season and was the team’s backup center, although he never played a single snap on offense. He was active for all but one game but only logged 50 snaps on special teams.
It has been a while since the Cardinals have had a player wear no. 60 and make even a small impact. The last was center Nick Leckey. Leckey was drafted by the Cardinals in the sixth round in 2004 and played three seasons for them. He started 20 games in 2005-2006.
He played six seasons in the NFL.
We will be back tomorrow to continue the countdown to the start of the Cardinals’ season.
