The good news for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills is that Buffalo’s facilities and maintenance crew worked overtime to get Highmark Stadium back into playing shape after two days of lake effect snow in western New York. In the hours leading up to kickoff on the postponed Wild Card matchup, the turf looked crisp and colorful, ready for Stefon Diggs and George Pickens to carve up defenses for big gains.

The seats and tailgating lots, however, were a different story. It turns out paying a meager $20 per hour to shovel out the stands didn’t bring in the quantity or quality of workers the Bills had hoped.

Yep, that’s a whole lot of white to contrast against that expertly cleared field. And it gets even worse up close — and in the parking lots, where Bills Mafia is once again doing its best work.

The scene outside Highmark Stadium is, as we’ve come to expect from any Bills tailgate, wondrously chaotic.

And, snow or not, no folding table was safe.

Does this mean Buffalo fans are going to use these newfound mountains of snow in new and dangerous ways and almost certainly hurt themselves?

Oh, yeah, 1,000 percent.

Inside the stadium, well, it’s a little less accessible.

Particularly for Steelers fans.

On the plus side, it’s not ideal for Bills fans either.
