6 beauty products I’ll be stocking up on during Amazon Prime Day 2023

Amazon Prime Day poses the perfect opportunity to stock up on the products you use the most, as well as treating yourself to those more luxurious treats that you often can’t justify the rest of the year. This year, the two-day sale runs from July 11-12 - but some of my go-to products have already been reduced.

When it comes to shopping the Amazon Prime Day sale, or any of the early deals, think about the products you use daily - skincare products like cleansers and moisturisers are always a good one to keep in mind, as well as things like hairspray.

Or is there a cult-loved product you’ve always wanted to try but the price tag has put you off? There’s a good chance it could be reduced for the annual sale, so it’s a good idea to make a list of what you’d like to buy in preparation for the discount event.

In my Amazon basket ahead of the Prime Day sale are a number of my favourite beauty buys that I use every day, or almost daily, so that I won’t be left with an empty tube, or have to fork out full price when the sale ends.

Among them are things like hair spray, pillow mists and my number one moisturiser - and many are reduced in early deals already!

Here are the six beauty products I’ll be stocking up on during Amazon Prime Day 2023:

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Skin Protectant

I recently tried out the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour balm for the first time after having unboxed it in the Boots x Elizabeth Arden beauty box. The 30ml tube is a fantastic multi-functional balm that’s perfect for moisturising nails, cuticles and chapped lips, as well as taming flyaways and frizz, or for using to heal scrapes and grazes. It’s really one of those do-all products and feels super luxe.

It’s racked up thousands of five star reviews on Amazon, with one saying they used it after spending too long in the sun, writing: “My wife uses this for sunburn and it's really good. I know because I nicked some and took the sting from sunburn away.”

Another wrote: “For years I’ve relied on this for dry lips, and rough skin almost anywhere. It’s great for the nose overnight if you’ve had a cold that leaves your nose sore from wiping. You can use a little to tame eyebrows too.”

The 30ml sample usually costs £17, but the full 50ml size on Amazon is now only £19 instead of £28, or £17.10 on ‘subscribe and save’.

However, if you don’t want to spend just under £20 on the iconic brand, Revolution has a pretty good dupe in the Pro Miracle Balm, which costs £8.

Elemis Pro-collagen Cleansing Balm

When it comes to removing a face full of makeup at the end of the day, nothing makes it more effortless than the Elemis Pro-collagen Cleansing Balm . I’m running dangerously low on mine, on to a final 20g pot, and despite trying alternatives like the Superdrug melting cleansing balm, I’ve been unable to find anything that lives up to this internet-approved balm.

Complete with a gorgeous fragrance that makes every day feel like a spa day, it makes light work of stubborn mascara without irritating my sensitive eyes, and leaves my skin feeling incredible.

A 100g pot of this cleanser will set you back £48 full-price , but a number of Elemis’ best-sellers are often slashed in the Amazon Prime Day sale. Last year The Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream was reduced from £89 to £55.15, while the Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser was £21.27, down from £40, with the Elemis Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter nearly half price, down to £15.99 from the original £30.

While the Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm isn’t yet reduced on Amazon , I’m very much hoping it will be between July 11-12 - I couldn’t bear to be without it.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré

I’m yet to find a daily moisturiser I love more than Embryolisse . The celeb-loved cream has been used by the likes of Michelle Keegan, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Elle MacPherson and more, creating a well-prepped base on which to apply makeup.

The cult French Pharmacy product leaves skin plump, feeling smooth, supple, and toned, so it’s no surprise that a tube is sold every 13 seconds . Another great multi-tasking product, it can be used as a makeup primer and remover, as well as a post-shave balm, face mask, and even a nappy cream.

Usually £20 for 75ml of product, the moisturiser has been reduced to £16.79 on Amazon , or you can get the mini 15ml version for just under £8 if you want to trial it before committing to a full size. I first tried the £12.99 30ml , but soon stocked up on a full size tube to save money in the long run.

Got2B Glued Hairspray

This hairspray is the GOAT, and is the only one my dad, mum, boyfriend and myself will use, so it’s safe to say that we get through quite a few cans. Surprisingly, the lads use it more than us girls, using it daily to keep their hairstyles in place for work, while I use mine if I’m going ‘out out’.

Just this last week, my boyfriend went to three different shops to try and buy a new can but it was out of stock everywhere, but I’d just received a new one in the Boots x Indiyah beauty box, so he was still able to use it.

It doesn’t come cheap, costing £5.50 for a can at Boots, but it’s currently £3.90 at Amazon, making it the cheapest place to buy it online, alongside Superdrug. You can also get the bigger, 500ml cans for £6 instead of £6.30 .

REN AHA Smart Renewal Body Serum

I discovered the REN AHA Smart Renewal Body Serum in a LookFantastic beauty box and I’m obsessed.

Harnessing the powers of lactic acid, the resurfacing treatment gently buffs away dead, dull surface cells to help combat pigmentation and uneven areas like ‘strawberry skin’. I’ve been very self conscious about the appearance of my thighs of late, so this power-product is my new best friend in preparation for my summer holiday.

Oh, did I mention that it smells exactly like Calypso lollies? Could it BE any more summery?

The serum normally costs £37, but is down to £22.99 for a 200ml tube . A little goes a long way with this product, but because I use it on larger surface areas like my arms, legs and stomach, I’ll only ever buy it when it’s on offer because it soon needs restocking - and with a saving of 38 per cent, it’s the cheapest I’ve seen it and well worth it just to smell like a walking ice lolly.

NEOM Pillow Mist Spray

This NEOM Pillow Mist Spray is definitely my little luxury. I once gifted my nan a pillow spray and she’s now hooked on the lavender scented mists, and loves using them to unwind before bed. Each time she was running low, she’d tell me and I’d pick her a new one up, trying various brands over the years like Feather and Down and This Works. But after trying the NEOM spray, she said it’s definitely her favourite.

And after trying it for myself, I can see why. It’s undoubtedly one of the most calming and beautifully scented pillow sprays and makes getting into bed a real experience. When it comes to sleep hygiene, it’s all about creating a routine to make it a soothing environment, and this revolutionised my sleep regime and helps me fall asleep faster and get my full eight hours in.

At £22, it’s not the cheapest, but 30ml is currently down to £18.70, and they do last a long time so I think they’re worth the investment - particularly if you do struggle with getting to sleep.
