59 days until Browns season opener: 5 players to wear 59 in Cleveland

We continue our march towards Week One of the NFL season as we have left the 60s behind and now only have 59 days remaining. The Browns are also only nine days from the start of training camp on July 22. In total, there have been 21 different players to wear the number 59 for the Cleveland Browns.

It was first worn by Horace Gillom from 1947 until 1951. The most recent player to wear it for the Browns was veteran offensive lineman Joe Haeg who was released earlier this off-season. The trip down memory lane continues as we look back at five players who have suited up for Cleveland wearing the number 59.
