52 sayings you've probably heard a Scouse mum use growing up

We have all found ourselves reciting our mums' favourite sayings over the years and many of us grew up hearing them on a daily basis.

As much as we moan or complain about them, Scouse mums are known for having the biggest hearts. They're always right and they come out with some cracking one liners.

They're known for referring to the youngest in the family as "the baby" no matter what their age or being able to find something that was hiding in plain sight for us.

They remain central to many Liverpool families and we'd all be lost without them. As Mother's Day approaches, we’ve been reflecting on what it has been like growing up with Mums like ours and what makes them so great.

We asked ECHO readers just what they grew up hearing their mums - and here are a number of your responses. This list isn't intended to be comprehensive, but if you have a suggestion that you think should have made the list, let us know in the comments section.
