£50k reward to catch 'cowardly' gunman who killed Olivia Pratt-Korbel

The founder of Crimestoppers has offered a £50,000 reward for anyone with information to assist with the Olivia Pratt-Korbel being murder investigation.

Tory peer Lord Ashcroft, former deputy chairman of the Conservative party, said he wanted to help "catch the cowards" responsible for the nine-year-old's murder. Olivia was killed in her home on Kingsheath Avenue, Dovecot, at around 10pm on Monday, August 22.

Writing on Twitter, Lord Ashcroft said: "We need to catch the cowards responsible for the death of nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel.

"I am offering £50,000 for information, given via @CrimestoppersUK, that leads to them being jailed."

'Scouse Macca Team' dealer caught by pictures on graft phone

A dealer who pushed drugs around Merseyside and Cheshire has been jailed.

Jordan Duckett was caught after officers investigating the county lines gang 'Scouse Macca Team' found photographs of him and texts sent from him on a graft phone. Liverpool crown court heard how detectives investigating the gang carried out search's at a property on Warkworth Court, Ellesmere Port on, March 29, this year.

Detective Constable Stuart Wood, of Western Proactive Team, said: "Despite being released under investigation for offences in March, Duckett continued to supply drugs right up to the point of being arrested once again in July. He thought that he could get away with bringing crack cocaine and heroin into Ellesmere Port by travelling across the border to sell it, but he was wrong."

McDonald's announces every UK restaurant will close to mark Queen Elizabeth II's funeral

McDonald's will close every UK restaurant to mark Queen Elizabeth II's funeral.

The nation has been in mourning since Her Majesty died on Thursday, September 8 at the age of 96. The state funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday, September 19.

Shops, restaurants and other businesses have announced their closures to mark the funeral. McDonald's has taken to Twitter to confirm restaurants will shut as a mark of respect.
