50 Cent apologises after Madonna calls him out for ‘talking smack’ about her racy Instagram posts

Madonna has hit back at 50 Cent after he mocked her racy Instagram pictures in now-deleted social media posts.

The singer uploaded an Instagram story calling him out for “[talking] smack” about her before sharing a message of self-confidence using a Yoda filter.

Last week the 63-year-old shared a series of saucy bedroom snaps which were seemingly removed from Instagram initially, only for Madonna to reshare them with emojis censoring her nipples.

Rapper 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, came under fire after one of the pictures was reshared to his own Instagram with a caption implying she’s too old to be posting such snaps.

It read: “Yo this is the funniest s**! LOL. That’s Madonna under the bed trying to do like a virgin at 63. She shot out, if she don’t get her old a** up. LMFAO [sic].”

His account also shared a photoshopped picture likening Madonna to the Wicked Witch of the East who gets trapped under a house in The Wizard of Oz. The posts have now been deleted.

The trolling posts clearly struck a nerve with the Material Girl singer who shared a story branding him attention-seeking and jealous.

She shared a picture of the pair in 2003 with the text: “Here is 50 Cent pretending to be my friend. Now you have decided to talk smack about me!”

She added: “I guess your new career is getting attention by trying to humiliate others on social media. The least elevated choice you could make as an artist and an adult.

“You’re just jealous you won’t look as good as me or have as much fun when you are my age! Too bad there are no sour grape emogees [sic].”

She then shared a video donning a filter of Yoda from Star Wars to say she enjoys standing out from the crowd.

She said: “Cheer up. Things could be worse. You could be me, for instance, permanently. Personally I like the way I look.

“There are those that find it hard to appreciate people and things that are different and they try to shame me or humiliate me or make me feel less than because I am not like everyone else.

“But in fact I cherish my uniqueness and I have grown stronger because to be unique is to be rare.”

Since uploading the Instagram stories, 50 Cent shared an apology on Twitter.

He wrote: “I must have hurt Madonna feelings, she went and dug up a old MTV photo from 03.

“Ok Im sorry i did not intend to hurt your feelings.I don’t benefit from this in anyway i said what i thought when i saw the picture because of where i had seen it before i hope you accept my apology [sic].”

Oof.

People took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the row, with some pointing out that the image shared by Madonna appears to be photoshopped.

You can decide for yourself:

And some just loved the drama:

Others dragged 50 Cent, saying his beef with Madonna is “the most press he’s had in over a decade”:

Not everyone disagreed with 50 Cent, however:

Madonna previously made headlines for sharing the series of Instagram snaps in which she’s clad in only lingerie, fishnets, and high heels. Naturally, such a big star sharing boudoir pictures sparked its fair share of memes and responses.

When Instagram seemingly removed them, she simply reposted them. She did however censor her nips with heart emojis.

While 50 Cent isn’t posting thirst traps, he is definitely posting things that has sparked conversation…

Earlier this year he stoked controversy after tagging his cognac and champagne brands in a 9/11 tribute post.

Responding to the controversy at the time, he shared a screenshot of a news article to his Instagram along with the caption: “I’m just seeing this guys am I still under fire, or did things blow over?”

Maybe someone should confiscate his phone...
