5 things we spotted at Celtic training as Anthony Ralston routine catches the eye and Ange Postecoglou makes big calls

It was another week of hard graft for Ange Postecoglou's Celtic side.

The Hoops are preparing for a hugely important Old Firm clash, with a win enough to essentially secure the Premiership trophy.

The Parkhead outfit sit six points above second place Rangers in the table with this Sunday's game a so-called 'six pointer'.

A win would move Celtic nine points ahead with just nine to play for.

And with a hefty goal difference of 19 in Postecoglou's men's favour, the three points would make it near impossible for Rangers.

As Celtic prepare, here are some things we noticed from the Lenoxtown training sessions this week.

Cutting shapes

Anthony Ralston seemed to be making some pretty unusual shapes on the training ground this week.

The right-back looks to have confused the pitch with a dance floor, swinging his arms around like nobody's business.

Or is it some sort of distraction technique he's trying out ahead of Sunday's derby day?

Only Ralston knows...

The defender will be hoping to help the Hoops shut up shop at Parkhead this weekend after conceding two goals at Hampden earlier in the month.

Three points would virtually seal the deal in terms of this season's league crown.

McGregor has his eyes on the prize

The Celtic skipper is just weeks away from lifting the cinch Premiership trophy if his side don't let it slip.

The star seemed focused with his eyes on the prize- albeit behind his face mask- during training throughout the week.

He will lead the Hoops out on Parkhead this coming Sunday as they face city rivals Rangers.

McGregor will be hoping to help his side get their own back on the Light Blues after defeat at the hands of Rangers at Hampden earlier this month meant Celtic were denied the chance of the treble.

Jota is all smiles

Jota has every right to be as happy as can be after a successful trip to Dingwall on Sunday.

The winger bagged himself a goal to double the Hoops' lead over Ross County and was named man of the match for his efforts throughout the 90 minutes.

He will be hoping for some more of the same this Sunday.

Jota is yet to score against Rangers, could it be on the cards this weekend?

Abada taking it in his stride

Liel Abada is prepping for the big weekend ahead.

The Israel winger is up for the PFA Scotland young player of the year award after enjoying a spectacular debut season.

He's netted 15 goals with another 11 assists this campaign.

But he won't be letting it all go to his head with such a huge weekend - and a massive few weeks - ahead as his side are inches away from the Premiership title.

Ange wonders 'what if?'

It has been a hugely successful season for Ange Postecoglou.

With the League Cup title already under his belt, his side have one hand on the league trophy.

Alongside that, the Hoops boss has been nominated for the PFA manager of the year award as well as the SFWA manager of the year award for his efforts during his time at Parkhead.

It's been a stunning debut season in Scotland but it's not quite over yet.

The Australian was pictured during training sessions at Lennoxtown this week and he certainly had his game face on as he urges his players on for one final title push.
