The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder is the No. 18 overall prospect, No. 2 linebacker, and No. 2 player in the state of Georgia, according to 247Sports. The elite linebacker plays high school football for Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia.
Atkinson has been excited about Georgia ever since the Bulldogs extended him an offer in 2022. He visited on Nov. 16 and he raved about how electric Georgia’s atmosphere is. He even listed Georgia in his top 10 schools as early as 2023. He still hasn’t committed to any school, but he has almost year left to decide his recruitment.
Atkinson has been interested in Georgia for a while, but cautious optimism is needed in regards to him. Class of 2025 five-star Justus Terry was on Georgia’s radar for a long time. He even committed to Georgia in 2023. However, once the early-signing period commenced, he decided to sign with the Texas Longhorns.
