Rangers boss Michael Beale has given a number of rising stars the chance to impress in pre-season.
The Light Blues returned to training this weekend and the Rangers boss has boosted his squad with a number of their academy graduates. Lewis Mayo has joined Ben Williamson, Cole McKinnon, Kieran Wright and Arron Lyall going through their paces with the first-team. Defender Mayo has just come back from a successful loan at Kilmarnock, while McKinnon and Williamson had similar moves, with Partick Thistle and Dundee, respectively.
Winger Lyall made his Rangers debut against Hibs at the end of last season, while Wright has signed a new deal to provide goalkeeping cover for Jack Butland and Robby McCrorie. Beale will have a decision to make to decide whether they will be part of his squad this season. He has already started his summer rebuild by adding the likes of Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling, Kieran Dowell, Sam Lammers and Abdallah Sima. They are also closing in on the signings of Cyriel Dessers and Jose Cifuentes.
