5 NFL receivers who should be featured with Amon-Ra St. Brown in Netflix’s reported Quarterback follow-up

Netflix seemingly saw the success of its documentary series Quarterback — a deep-cut insight into the lives of players like Patrick Mahomes — and it now wants to channel that everywhere.

According to Justin Rogers of The Detroit News, the streaming giant is working on a Quarterback follow-up that will likely feature Detroit Lions star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. Presumably, it may well be centered more on wideouts overall and some of the NFL’s bigger names at the position alongside St. Brown. For the time being, that has not been confirmed. But that doesn’t mean we can’t recklessly (responsibly) speculate!

Let’s dive into a few elite playmakers who make sense to be featured alongside St. Brown in this potential “Receiver” documentary series.

1
A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles

Klement Neitzel-USA TODAY Sports

Brown is the arguably best player on the defending NFC champion. He’s a walking dynamite quote and oozes with personality on a genuinely marquee team. This should be a no-brainer.

2
Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals

Sam Greene/The Enquirer/USA TODAY NETWORK

From touchdown celebration bets with Chad Johnson to quips about how he’s “always open,” Chase has clearly leaned into being a diva receiver in 2023. He deserves his close-up more than most.

3
Davante Adams, Las Vegas Raiders

Candice Ward-USA TODAY Sports

You simply cannot pass up the opportunity to highlight the finest receiver of his generation. From the Raiders’ contentious issues with the exiled Josh McDaniels to Adams continuing to humble cornerbacks every week, I need to see this glow-up.

4
Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Jefferson has unfortunately missed much of the Vikings’ season with a hamstring injury. But that just makes his pending return all the more compelling for a Minnesota squad making a playoff push with Josh Dobbs at quarterback. Hoo boy, I would LOVE to hear Jefferson’s thoughts on 2023 and get an insight into his overall process as a receiver.

5
Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins

Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

A one-man highlight reel, Hill is one of the faces of the NFL, let alone a top receiver. Putting Hill in this show would also give us the potential opportunity to see more of Mike McDaniel and Tua Tagovailoa’s lovely dynamic. Make it happen, Netflix.
