The dust has settled, and now we can all catch our breaths after one of the wildest — maybe the wildest — NFL trade deadlines ever.
This wasn’t the deadline day in the league we were used to, say, 20 years ago. This was like what we see in baseball, hockey and hoops, with all kind of teams swinging all kinds of deals.
We’ve gone over the winners and losers, tracked all the important deals, ranked them all by the impact on the playoff race, and gone over the fantasy football implications.
Now? We’re going to take a look at the players who DIDN’T get dealt, and there were some surprises:
1
RB Cam Akers, Los Angeles Rams
It seemed like he and the Rams were at an impasse as he’s struggled coming back from injury and lost playing time.
Now? Maybe they can repair some of that.
I miss football 😐

2
WR Jerry Jeudy, Denver Broncos
The Broncos dealt Bradley Chubb and got quite the return. So why not do the same with the young receiver?
3
RB Kareem Hunt, Cleveland Browns
It would have made sense for the Browns … but maybe they think he’s too valuable in their potent ground game and as a pass-catcher the rest of the season.
Brandin Cooks and Kareem Hunt are staying put.

WR Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans
He certainly didn’t sound happy about it.
Don’t take a man’s kindness for granted. Covered for the lies for too long those days are done. Crossed the line with playing with my career 🏹

5
WR Elijah Moore, New York Jets
He hasn’t been happy with the lack of targets this year.
