Chelsea finally received government approval this week for a £4.25billion takeover by Todd Boehly's consortium.
Attention will now quickly turn to several outstanding issues the club has had to leave in limbo while it remained under sanctions. Transfers will be high on the agenda as the Blues enter the summer window, and Mirror Sport understands Boehly wants to make two marquee signings to kick off the post-Roman Abramovich era with a statement of intent.
Here, Mirror Sport looks at the most pressing items on the agenda for LA Dodgers co-owner Boehly and the Californian private equity firm Clearlake Capital backing his bid.
1) Defensive reinforcements
Chelsea are losing Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid and Andreas Christensen to Barcelona this summer - two key centre-backs.
Barca also want to bring in Blues captain Cesar Azpilicueta and full-back Marcos Alonso, with Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo devoting its front page to the operation.
If they prove successful, it would leave Thomas Tuchel desperately short at the back - and top target Sevilla Jules Kounde may not be the only defender they buy.
2) New contracts for key duo
Chelsea were unable to agree new deals with their players while the club were caught in the web of sanctions the government issued against Roman Abramovich.
But now that they are able to do so once again, a big priority is to reward two of the clubs best young stars - Masn Mount and Reece James - with new deals and get them signed up long-term.
Neither Mount nor James is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, but uncertainty over their futures remained until the takeover was completed.
3) Make a decision on Romelu Lukaku
Chelsea paid a small fortune to bring Lukaku back from Inter Milan, and everyone expected it be a match made in heaven.
Instead it has ended up being the transfer from hell with both parties unhappy at how it's turned out - and Lukaku's future remains uncertain.
Chelsea will not want to make a loss on the player so it is unlikely he is sold - but finding a way to get the best out of their asset will be high on the agenda of the new owners.

4) Boardroom shake-up
All of the current directors at Chelsea are Abramovich appointees, and while some of them are expected to stay on during the transition, their long-term futures remain unclear.
Chairman Bruce Buck has a good relationship with the club's new owners and could be asked to stay.
But Marina Granovskaia, who has had overall responsibility for transfers at Chelsea for years, is less likely to.
5) Agree a long-term strategy with Tuchel
There is no doubt that Thomas Tuchel has been key to Chelsea's success since he arrived at Stamford Bridge.
He has won the Champions League and Club World Cup, and taken the Blues into two domestic finals this season.
Boehly's group wants to back him going forward, but the two sides must agree on a strategy and work together to see that it's carried out.
