Five Georgia Bulldogs are ranked on CBS Sports’ 2025 NFL draft big board, which features 50 players.
Georgia defensive end Mykel Williams is the top rated edge rusher and the No. 4 prospect on the big board. Williams, who is expected to see a significant amount of snaps at outside linebacker this season, is a preseason All-American.
Ranked a couple of slots below Williams is Georgia quarterback Carson Beck at No. 6. Beck is CBS Sports’ top ranked quarterback, so he could easily end up as the No. 1 pick in the draft. Quarterbacks have been the first player selected in six of the past seven NFL draft with the lone exception being Georgia defensive end Travon Walker in 2022.
“The race for QB1 is wide open,” said Ryan Wilson of CBS. However, Wilson currently gives Beck the upper hand.
“He’s (Carson Beck) a good athlete who has shown the ability to get through his reads, get the ball out on time and throw with anticipation. He has a strong arm and showed last season he was willing to throw the ball accurately into tight windows — all things that translate to the NFL,” said Wilson.
CBS Sports’ top ranked safety is Georgia’s Malaki Starks, who check in at No. 20 on the big board. Starks is another preseason All-American and has started since being a true freshman.
Georgia tight end Oscar Delp is ranked next at No. 38. Delp is not generating a ton of NFL draft buzz, but that’s about to change. Delp could extend Georgia’s streak of consecutive years with a tight end drafted.
In a bit of a surprise, Georgia linebacker Smael Mondon is ranked as the No. 42 player on the top-50 big board. Mondon battled injuries last season, but is trending toward being fully healthy this year. NFL teams have devalued the linebacker position a little bit, but Mondon is a difference maker.
