5 Fun Ways to Celebrate Game of Thrones' Final Season, From a New Cannabis Strain to a Themed Bordeaux Wine and More

The Lannister Suite at New York’s Refinery Hotel will be available every Sunday from April 14 for $569.

The much-anticipated last season of Game of Thrones is coming. In a few days.

So just in case you haven’t yet planned out what to do this Sunday (other than watch the premiere episode), you could perhaps think about stepping up your GoT game by indulging in a themed cannabis strain, wine, or cocktail. But it all of that isn’t your jam, no worries. You could also attend a screening at the Arlo NoMad or book the decidedly over-the-top Lannister Lair at Refinery Hotel.

Here are a few options to consider.

CANNABIOTIX’S WHITE WALKER OG CANNABIS STRAIN
If you’re a Game of Thrones fan who happens to live in (or near) Las Vegas, then this is your lucky day. Or rather, Saturday the 13th is. This weekend The Source, one of the city’s more popular dispensaries, will begin offering White Walker OG products such as flower, pre-rolls, disposable pens, and concentrates—all by Cannabiotix. The strain, which is an indica-dominant hybrid, delivers a mellow but uplifting high that relaxes the body and alleviates pain.

MICHELIN-STARRED JUNOON’S DRAGONGLASS COCKTAIL
For those who will be out and about in New York City before the Game of Thrones airtime, consider dropping by Michelin-starred Junoon to enjoy the Dragonglass cocktail, which will be available at the restaurant from Sunday, April 14 onwards. It’s a new addition to the already–robust GoT cocktail menu, which features Lannister (Bacardi 8 Years Rum, Grand Marnier homemade raspberry–dark chocolate puree, orange essence), Mother of Dragons (Hennessy VSOP, masala syrup), Arya Stark (Brockmans Gin, Japanese umeshu fruit wine, lime, homemade spiced plum compote), and Greyjoy (Bombay Sapphire Gin, St. Germain, aged balsamic vinegar, cocktail onion).

REFINERY HOTEL’S LANNISTER LAIR
For fans who are looking to experience something more immersive, booking the Lannister Lair at the Refinery Hotel may be your best bet. The suite will be available every Sunday from April 14 for $569 and includes a variety of extravagant and theatrical perks. Think: a throne draped with fur, dragon egg candles, access to HBO and HBO GO, goblets and goblets of wine, and a themed catered dinner featuring GoT–inspired dishes like Braavos branzino and dragon snacks.

ARLO NOMAD’S SEASON 8 VIEWING PARTY
On Sunday the 14th at 9pm, Arlo NoMad will be hosting a free viewing of the season premiere—complete with candies, popcorn, and craft cocktails. What’s not to love?

THE IMP’S DELIGHT DORNISH WINE 2016 (SAINT-ÉMILION)
If you’re the kind of person who likes to drink and know things—like Tyrion Lannister—I recommend ordering several bottles of “Dornish” wine for the premiere and the succeeding episodes. After all, the best wines in Westeros are made in the southernmost part of the region: Dorne. And while there are many GoT–inspired libations out there, this one in particular stands out because it’s produced in Bordeaux. Vignobles Bardet, known for its good and reasonably–priced wines, created The Imp’s Delight and Dornish Wine Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux. But of course, how can you resist a bottle called The Imp’s Delight? If you are, however, more of a New World drinker, you can always go for the official wines, which are produced by Bob Cabral in the fine state of California.

Produced by Vignobles Bardet, The Imp’s Delight Dornish Wine 2016, is one of many Game of Thrones–inspired wines.
