Paul Pogba is on the lookout for a new club after Manchester United confirmed his departure at the end of his contract on Wednesday.
Pogba re-joined United in the summer of 2016 for a then-world-record transfer fee of £89million but failed to live up to his billing, winning just two major trophies - the EFL Cup and Europa League - during his second spell. Across his two stints with United, he played 233 games for the club.
Although he failed to win either the Premier League or Champions League at Old Trafford, Pogba still boasts a fine CV. He helped France win the World Cup in 2018 - scoring against Croatia in the final - and lifted the Nations League last autumn.
He will be in high demand this summer – and these five clubs are likely to be in the race for his signature.
PSG

Last season, Les Parisiens signed Sergio Ramos, Lionel Messi, Georginio Wijnaldum and Gianluigi Donnarumma as free agents – so don’t rule out a similar move for Paul Pogba this summer.
After all, Pogba is originally from Paris and he could represent a sensible signing in the same summer that Angel Di Maria exits the club at the end of his contract. His last spell in Paris was with local suburb side Torcy before moving to Le Havre, which preceded his initial move to Old Trafford in 2009.
Juventus
Pogba has been most strongly tipped to rejoin Juventus, where he won four consecutive Serie A titles, two Italian Cups and two Italian Super Cups between 2012 and 2016.
Pogba's agent Rafaela Pimenta has reportedly held fresh talks over a return to the Italian club while the Juventus CEO has commented on the club's 'gentlemen agreement' with United when speaking of talks with Pogba's representatives.
Pogba joined Juve as a free agent from United in 2012 and the same move could play out a decade on.
Inter
After Juventus splashed the cash on Dusan Vlahovic in January and are on the verge of signing Angel Di Maria, would a return for Paul Pogba make sense economically?
Juve may struggle to get a quick deal over the line for Pogba, yet Serie A is clearly a league and style of play that suits him much better. That could open the door for Inter to make a move – although such a deal could be linked into the feasibility of the Nerazzurri re-signing Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea. However, a move to Inter could materialise.
Real Madrid
Pogba has long been linked with a move to the Spanish capital, even if such a switch now seems improbable.
Real Madrid have long been attempting to source long-term replacements for Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, but last year’s arrival of Eduardo Camavinga and likely arrival of Aurélien Tchouaméni this summer means a move for Pogba is unlikely to be revived.
However, Real Madrid’s interest in French internationals is well-established and a move for Pogba would see him link-up with many of his international teammates and could prove to be a market win for the club after their failure to land Kylian Mbappe.
Man City
There had been multiple reports in May that Manchester City were weighing up a move for Pogba, in what would have been an eye-catching swoop from across the city.
Such a move has subsequently been played down but it would make a lot of sense; City are hopeful of adding a midfielder to their ranks this summer while Pogba would not have to uproot from his current home.
It remains unlikely that Pogba would fit into Pep Guardiola’s system and demands of his players, but it would arguably be the most interesting move he could make this summer.
