The stars descended on Ibrox on Saturday afternoon for a legends game to remember.
Luis Figo, Kaka, Claude Makelele and plenty others were part of the World XI tasked with taking on Rangers icons such as Barry Ferguson and current manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
And there were cheers towards the end of the first half when Shota Arveladze headed in the opening goal for the Light Blues.
But captain Figo's side came back with Carlos Marchena levelling things before another Portuguese star, Nuno Gomes, produced a lovely finish to catch Neil Alexander out.
Then came Quaresma's goal before the moment that raised the roof - Paul Gascoigne squeezing home a late strike.
In all it was an entertaining affair but the best part of these occasions are the little touches that wouldn't fly in a competitive match.

Gio's reducer
Was it a bit of El Clasico needle coming to the fore?
Van Bronckhorst looked the part as he donned the blue shirt for the first time in over 20 years.
And his tackle on Michel Salgado in the first half brought Ibrox to its feet.
The former Real Madrid man made the most of it but it was actually a brilliant tackle even if the ref blew up for a free-kick.
Ex-Barcelona GvB wasn't too pleased at the decision.
McLeish and Mols
As old friends exchanged hugs and high fives as they ran out onto the hallowed turf, there was a comical moment on the sidelines.
Michael Mols feigned fury at being benched by the afternoon's home manager, Alex McLeish.
He made his feelings perfectly clear to those behind in the Main Stand.
Mols then threw the cameras a hilarious dirty look, before Big Eck tried to clear the air.
The party tricks
It took all of eight minutes for Quaresma - who is still playing professionally for Vitória de Guimarães - to bust out his party trick.
On two occasions in the first half he tried to catch out Ronald Waterreus with a Trivela, his signature shot with the outside of the right boot.
But the impressively sharp keeper kept him out - although he was shown up by the number one up the other end.
Jens Lehmann was beaten by Arveladze's header but before that he proved he's just as skilful as the outfielders in the world select.
With the Georgian chasing him down a neat Cruyff turn had Ibrox applauding.
And Quaresma's Trivela did finally come off with five minutes to go.
McCann ditches the gantry
After Mols' display pre-match there were more to come, this time from a charismatic Gers pundit.
Neil McCann claimed an injury was keeping him out in the open-air studio before the game.
But after 40 minutes of commentary he ended up feeling left out.
And so McCann rushed down from the gantry at half-time to the home dugout, with McLeish then happy to oblige his wishes.
The lead commentator was left on his lonesome as he saw McCann enter the pitch for Van Bronckhorst in the second half in a numberless shirt.
Gazza returns... and scores!
He was even cheered in the warm-up and when he was featured on the big screens on the bench.
Paul Gascoigne only spent three minutes on the park but what an ovation as Rangers fans saluted one of their most famous names.
And seconds in he took a 'dive' over the ball in the centre-circle.
Ibrox was in stitches at his antics with chants of "one Paul Gascoigne".
And it just had to be him who scored in the final seconds - before players from both sides joined to celebrate.
