49ers WR Ricky Pearsall released from hospital

The San Francisco 49ers provided a positive update on wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, who suffered a gunshot wound Saturday in San Francisco.

Via the 49ers:

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was released from the hospital this afternoon as he continues to recover from a bullet wound to his chest.
He and his family, along with the entire San Francisco 49ers organization, would like to thank the San Francisco Police Department, emergency medical services, doctors and staff at San Francisco General Hospital.
It appears things have gone about as well as possible under the circumstances. The bullet, which was discharged during a struggle for the gun that was on Pearsall when the suspect allegedly tried to rob the wide receiver, missed vital organs and passed through his chest and out his back.
His return to football is extremely secondary given the situation. For now, his return home from the hospital is the best possible update the team could’ve given.
