The Arizona Cardinals are seeing division opponent suffer injuries to key players.
The Cardinals will face the San Francisco 49ers on the road in Week 5 and will miss facing 2023 Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey, who is on injured reserve with calf and Achilles injuries.
There is a chance they will not have to face receiver Deebo Samuel.
Samuel suffered a calf strain on Sunday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that he will “probably miss a couple of weeks.”
The 49ers face the L.A. Ram and New England Patriots in Weeks 3 and 4. If Samuel only misses those two games, he would return to face Arizona.
However, calf injuries are tricky, which means the Cardinals might end up facing the Niners with two of their most important important offensive playmakers.
It is something to watch over the next couple of weeks.
