49ers rookie shot in chest during robbery

According to multiple reports, San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was shot on Saturday. According to the San Francisco police department via SF reporter Sean Cunningham, Pearsall was shot through the chest during a robbery attempt over a Rolex.

The report indicates Pearsall is currently stable at San Francisco General Hospital. The former Florida Gators star was selected by San Francisco in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft with the No. 31 overall pick.

Pearsall had missed almost the entire preseason with a shoulder injury and was on the NFI list. He figured to work in as the team’s third wide receiver and was selected as insurance in case starter Brandon Aiyuk didn’t sign a contract.

According to reports, the suspect was also shot in the scuffle for the gun and is in custody. We are praying for a full recovery for Pearsall and we will keep you updated with his status.
